Courageous Conversations Worth Having

Most of the conversations that change things are the ones we avoid. The feedback we soften into meaninglessness. The boundary we never name. Clarity and connection rarely come from the easy exchanges.

A simple way in

I keep it to three moves: name what’s true, name why it matters, and stay in the room for the response. Honesty without warmth is just bluntness. Warmth without honesty is just avoidance. You need both.

Courageous conversations aren’t about winning. They’re about caring enough to be clear — and trusting the relationship to hold the truth.
